the parking situation to worsen

whilst we have been away there have been some serious in a delusionary way developments in so far as street parking has been greatly altered.
High street lower end has nowbecome a dropping off zone only, where you can only enterto drop off or pick some one up.
This has greatly reduced access to park and made some entrances and exits on to the gwalia roundabout both difficult and unnecessary and a huge cost to the tax payer.

in a real problem area behind the metropole and by the day centre and county library the council car park is about to be made pay per hour
this is going to affect locals including local taxifirm who parks his vehicles in there next to his home/office, if he doesnt intend to pay he will have to park in the streets surrounding adding to the problem
there is also the problems of haulage firms and busses from other hotels taking up parking space mostly in the evenings it has to be said.
and it must be said the council is taking hell of a long time to get this scheme off the ground which is a suprise isnt it but most welcome.
maybe we will regain somemore parking space when delegates from the metrople realise a homeless hostel is planned on the adjacent streets.
